Student roadmap

enlightening one, particularly for our students who come from various educational backgrounds. At the IBTE, we are committed to ensuring that this journey is as straightforward as possible.

The English school education consists of three elements: Primary, Secondary, and Further Education. Unlike in many other countries where students study 12 grades, in the UK, students usually go through 13 grades. If you've decided to pursue a Bachelor's degree in the UK and have not completed this 13th grade, we offer a foundation course, also known as the A-Level or Level 3 course, to fill this gap. This course is taught by us in Dubai or at any of our other globally located IBTE centers. If you've already studied 13 grades at a recognized English education school, you might be eligible for direct entry to Level 4, subject to necessary information and verification. Furthermore, we offer education beyond the foundation and level 3; however, it is essential to have a comprehensive understanding of our educational model.

At IBTE, we guide and support our students throughout their educational journey, helping them achieve their desired plan of obtaining a prestigious international degree from educational institutes worldwide. We excel at connecting the dots, much like a boat navigating the sea between islands, to ensure a seamless pathway. With a specialization in levels 3, 4, and 5, we work in collaboration with our external partners to facilitate the attainment of the necessary educational qualifications. However, the subsequent steps towards a university degree will depend on the pathway you choose. Here are some examples illustrating how you can pursue your degree at a university:

Study Locally: If there is a recognized British university in your country that follows the English education system, you can choose to study there. You'll go through a foundation degree, then progress to Year 1, Year 2, and finally Year 3, which culminates in the award of your degree.

Study in the UK: If you're open to travelling, you can pursue your studies in the UK. This also involves obtaining a foundation degree first, either locally or via a third-party provider in the UK, then continuing to Year 1, Year 2, and Year 3 for your degree.

Study with IBTE: Our distinctive program enables you to complete your foundation level, as well as Year 1 and Year 2, which we refer to as levels 3, 4, and 5, respectively, with us. For the concluding degree or Year 3, known as the "Top-up" year, you can either study online or select on-campus learning in the UK. Once you've achieved levels 3, 4, and 5 with IBTE, you're eligible to directly apply to any UK university.

Note: please note that not every university claiming to be British or offering English education has their qualifications recognized by the Office of Qualifications and Examinations Regulation (Ofqual). Always check the recognition status of their degrees. At IBTE, we pride ourselves on providing English qualifications that are recognized both locally and internationally.

Study three years in IBTE Dubai

In IBTE, our pathway offers a distinctive and unique experience. As a student, you can join us for a three-year program, completing your level 3 or foundation course (equivalent to A-levels), followed by Level 4 (Year 1) and Level 5 (Year 2) of study. After these three years, you have the freedom to choose between finalizing your degree locally or transferring to the UK to obtain the award through our sister company or affiliated partners.

Transfer to the UK

  • If you're currently enrolled in the IBTE's three-year program and have intentions to transfer to the UK to complete part or all of your remaining studies, it's important that you acquire your certificate and transcript documents from us. Additionally, it's required to obtain your third party qualification provider (e.g. NCC education or Pearson qualifications), which are recognized internationally and crucially, by UK universities. These credentials permit you to resume and finish your studies at your convenience. Please bear in mind that our institution is unable to assist in procuring any necessary documents if there are any outstanding fees and if you haven't successfully passed each level of your current program.

  • If you are a student who has successfully navigated your three-year program at IBTE and have aspirations to transfer to the UK for your final year or degree level, we recommend reaching out to our affiliated student recruitment entity, IBTE UK Ltd. This UK-based partner is equipped to streamline your admission process into the UK, further facilitating your completion of the final top-up year at a university that recognizes our third-party qualification provider, such as NCC or Pearson Education qualification. Alternatively, you possess the autonomy to manage the application process by applying directly to one or more universities that recognize qualifications from our third-party provider, like the NCC or Pearson Education qualification.

Complete your studies locally

  • If you are presently a student at the IBTE enrolled in our three-year course, and are considering transitioning to another British university, college or educational institute locally in your country, your first step will be to identify an institution which accepts and recognizes qualifications from our third-party provider (for example, NCC Education or Pearson Qualification). It's important to ensure they are willing to accept you into their degree program. Please understand that our company will not be in a position to assist in this process, and you are permitted to gather all necessary documents and qualifications from us to proceed on your own. However, we'd like to note that we will only be able to provide these documents and qualifications after all outstanding fees, inclusive of those for IBTE and any third-party qualification provider educational fees, have been fully paid.

Complete your studies online

  • We encourage you to reach out to a member of our team for assistance in understanding how to avail such a service. Please be aware that each program is unique and may have different requirements from others. Therefore, the specifications might vary from one course to another. If you decide to pursue this pathway, it would be beneficial for you to schedule an educational consultation with one of our seasoned education professionals. They possess the expertise to provide detailed insight into the specific requirements of each program and can help guide your educational journey.
